You will never get disappointed as the gallery showcased the works of famous artists including the American Master Emmitt Thames and the Master Jeweler and Potter Gerrol Benigno. In addition to the list includes Pen & Ink Master Stig Marcussen, Internationally Acclaimed Artist Grady Byrd, Environmentalist and Fine Artist Terry Blake Edwards and Cartoonist and Sculptor Spencer Gray. Together with the renowned artists, local works are also displayed as well as international works.
The galleries also vary according to the different medium such as acrylic painting, animation cels, embroidery, etching and printing, mixed media, monoprint, oil painting, pastel, pen and ink, pencil, pottery, print, sculpture and water color painting. Other media are available such as mosaic, metals, fused glass, acrylic painting on wood and acrylic painting on stone. Photography is also a part of the exhibit. International works from Costa Rica and India as well as Negrotto Collection from West Africa is a must-see and a must-have. Negrotto is also the exclusive authorized dealer of the ‘Audubon Centennial Edition’ in the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Apart from regular themed exhibits and ever changing displays of the works of other artists such as Ellen Ellis Lee, Lamin Dibba and Sadako Lewis, the gallery features an artist in its “Meet and Greet an Artist” every Saturday. Events such as photography class and painting party are also available in Negrotto.
After choosing the artwork you want to bring home, you can also personalize the frame through its FrameVue Digital Preview software. It displays variety of styles of matted and framed pictures. The Negrotto specialized in designing and handling family heirlooms, photography, kid’s art, certificates, shadowboxes and original art. Colors are preserved through preservation framing by using the similar materials used at The Smithsonian.
